Salda Lake is Turkey's Maldives

After long time writing an article because in summer season cant write much things.While reading I saw about something Salda Lake.When I was university ı heard many things about it because my university is not much far away from there and there were tours at weekends.Salda is a tectonic lake at Aegean region in Turkey.I will write about why called it Turkey's Maldives ,where is the lake ,how can go there and where stay in there so I will give a  few reason for to visit Turkey too.

Where is Salda Lake

Salda lake is located in Yeşilova district in Burdur.It has about 184 meters depth so its second depth lake in Turkey.Its not much far away from Pamukkale so if you come pamukkale do not come back to see Salda lake.

Why called it Turkey's Maldives

Its a lake with turquoise color and white sands.When see it can think that ıts look like Maldives.Salda lake is the 5th clear lake in the world.Anyway can see it on photos too.If you take photo in there and share it social media people can think that you are at Maldives :)

There are 2 beaches in Salda Lake.Yeşilove beach and Salda Forest beach, there are 3 kilometers distance between beaches and some places are deep blue so just can swim that beaches.ıts more safety.

Where I can stay at Salda Lake

There are a few motels near Salda and can stay in Yeşilova too.But

if you like nature can make camping near Salda Lake.Actually there are youth camps between july and august months.Nature,forest and deep blues.Will fall in love there .

How I can go Salda Lake.

There are a few routes to go there.I said before ig you come to pamukkale can come to Burdur and Yeşilova.Another routes is come to Isparta by plane and rent a car for to come Salda.

If you like nature,camping ,photography must see there when come to Turkey.

white roses but when I  say black rose

many people can think that ıts a joke.

Yeha there are natural black rose in the word and just grown in Turkey.

Halfeti is district of Şanlıurfa in 

southeast Anatolia.Black rose just grown in Halfeti, when moved another place their color change become red.Its really interesting that black rose just grown in Halfeti in Turkey.

Features of Black Rose

The balck rose was first collected from Halfeti in 1888 by the German pharmacist and plant collector Paul Sintenis but introduced to the world of science by Speta in 1977.The black rose, which lost 116 years, was rediscovered for the second time with this work.

For the first time this rose is collected from Mesopotamia and is known only to this region, so it takes its name from the region and is called "Mesopotamia hyacinth"It is an endemic plant that grows only in Halfeti inTurkey  all over the world.

blossom second times in a year.In Spring and autumn seasons black rose blossoms and grown about 6-7 cantimeters diamaters.Black rose grown up about 1-1,5 meters tall.When cut its flowers it's color change too.

A U.S. Citizen I first visited Turkey after multiple deaths in the family found me searching for a far-away holiday.  The experience with the people, the land and the food was so exceptional that I've returned at least once each year for extended holidays in every area of the country.

Bodrum city on the peninsula of the same name was my first destination and remains my favorite place for fun in the sun, relaxation, nightlife and boat excursions on chartered gulets.  

      The stunningly blue waters of the Turkish Aegean and Mediterranean coasts never fail to exhilarate me.

      A two-day, one night commercial tour to Ephesus and Pamukkale during this first holiday demonstrated   not only the ancient history but the amazing geographic diversity of Turkey.  I remember commenting that the landscapes we saw between Pamukkale and Bodrum were akin to crossing the entire United States.

Since that first visit I've enjoyed touring privately throughout the country.  My first impression that the Turkish people are generally wonderful has been confirmed everywhere we stay.  An only child I am proud to have a Turk as the closest thing I can imagine to a brother as well as others who count among my best ever friends.  A welcome guest in numerous Turkish homes where we are treated as family we have also hosted Turks in our southeast Missouri home and acted as guides for them in U.S. Cities and holiday destinations.  No matter where in Turkey we travel the people prove to be the most hospitable, intriguing and intuitive in my world travels.  Obey the Golden Rule and you will never have a problem in Turkey.

Perhaps the first thing I noticed about the country is the extraordinary food.  Simple and delicious Turkish food is rich in the finest produce you will find anywhere in the world.  The bread is truly the best, the lamb is to die for, the soups are exquisite and the lightly sweet desserts the stuff of dreams.  While you can find every Turkish dish in İstanbul nearly every region has a specialty that is genuinely amazing.  Among the fabulous specialties I have enjoyed are liver in Edirne, künefe in Hatay, cheese (making the best pizza) in Kars, stews cooked in a clay pot that you literally break open before eating in Cappadocia, pistachio baklava in Gaziantep, beans and stuffed peppers in Doğubayazıt, perfect char grill in Ayder, Maraş dorduma (ice cream) and the best boiled potatoes of my life when stranded and staying with the sole inhabitants (cattle ranchers) of a bombed out village in the mountains high above Kağızman.

The historian part of me was amazed to find that Turkey is quite arguably the home of human civilization with both ruins and buildings from a huge number of cultures.  The Roman ruins are more common and at times better than you will find anywhere.

6-Gallipoli and Troy

Çanakkale,Gallipoli and Troy another attraction in our list.When I 

was primary school I visited there.Çanakkale and Gallipoli are important us.When look at Worl War I history can see an amazing vistory in there.Every year we celebrate our victory and Anzacs 

do commemorate cerenomy in there.When look at ancient history we will see a myth about Troy.

7-Ephesus

Ephesusu Ancient city in very important tourism center in Turkey, the city has many amazing historical artifact and they are very old.Ephesus was consturcted about 6000 B.C in Neolithic Period.Currently excavations archaeologists find some Hittite antiquity.Apasas was city name of the Hittite ages.Currentyl Ephesus was constructed by Lysimakhos who was commnader of Alexander B.C. 300. Ephesus was at golden age in Roman Empire period , it was capital city , Asia region. There were 200.000 person in Ephesus and it was center of trade,art, science..Ephesus moved another place at Byzantium period and Turks conquered that place in 1330

8-Oludeniz and Fethiye

 Fethiye is one of the beautiful district of Muğla.Fethiye is between Aegean and Mediterranean, has mediterrenean climate.You know that area have many good beaches and historical vestiges so similiar another touristical place and many foreign and domestic tourists visit there summer season.Oludeniz,Butterfly valley ,Calıs beach and Kaya köy is another important centers.

9-Antalya and Aspendos

Antalya is a tourism center of Turkey.Every year thosends foreign and domestic toursits visit Antalya.If want to see history and enjoy at beaches Antalya is right place for it.There are many resorts near Antalya.Alanya is most famous one.

10-Sumela Monastery and Black Sea region

Actually there are many place but I will finish my list with sumela monastery.Sumela monaster is very famous and when people come to Blacksea region do not come back without see Sumela Monastery or just come there for to Sumela.It is really amazign architectural masterpiece.

Thousands years all religions lived in Anatolian's lands.They lived together in peace,rescpet each others.There are many holy place for all religions.Anatolia and Mesopotamia is first sites for humanity.

There are 349 active churches 38 synagogue at Turkey now.There

are140 Greek churches, 58 Syriac churches and 52 Armenian churches.So today I will write about popular and important churches.

1-Bulgarian Church of Sveti Stefan

Saint Stefan church is the first church which construction with iron.
So people called iron church too.İt look like an pearl near Golden Horn, at locality of Fener.Church belong to Bulgarian community.
Bulgarian Prince Stefan Bogoridi gave that land for church and Bulgarian people constructed a wood church in 1849.After fire 1898, Hovsep Aznavour melt 500 tonne iron and moved them to İstanbul from Vienna.Than assemblied iron parts at İstanbul.There was a 2 iron church in the world but another one destroyed in time so Sveti Stefan is one of the iron church in the world.

2-Saint Antoine Catholic Church

Saint Antoine Church is the biggest catholic church at Istanbul.Its located at Istiklal Street, while walking at from Galatasaray to Tunnel can see left side.Church conctructed for catholic community in 1725.

It was built by Italian architect Giulio Mongeri in Italian neo-gothic style.It was reconctructed in 1906 and red rick added in 1912.Can come in to church garden between apartments.That apartments belong to church and revenue for church.The church is aperate by Italian priests.Especially at Christmas and Easter days become very crowded.

3.Antakya Orthodox Church

Antakya is second center of Christianity.Antakya is important for Christianity because St. Paul and St. Peter devote their new religion there.

The oldest church known as Sen Piyer Church in Antakya too but Orthodox Church recontructed after earthquake in 1872, bye Russian engineers.Every year thousands of Christians come to Antakya to be pilgrims.

4.Mar Petyun Chaldean Church

Mar Petyun Keldani Church, one of the rich historical remains of Diyarbakir, is located near the Seyh Mutahhar Mosque.

It is estimated that it was first constructed in the 4th century but destroyed and built many times.The current structure was built in the 17th century.Church used by eastern Assyrians still.

Black basalt stone was used at construction.The church has been serving as Amid Keldani Church since 1681.

5.Deyrulzafaran Monastery Church 

The Deyrulzafaran Monastery, built in the 5th century AD.Monastery was important center of Syriac Church.

640 years (until 1932) was the place of residence of Syriac Patriarchs.The monastery is located 4 kilometers east of Mardin.It's name came from saffron plant.It's mean land of saffron.

There are 2 chuch inside on monastery.The second one is the Mor Hananyo Church which draws attention with the dome and is larger.This church was built by Syriac architects Theodosius and Theodore between 491-518.

After long times come back to write for our facebook page and blog followers.I had some personal problems and moved Bursa city.İts really hard to move with a lot of  furniture.I did not write any article in that time but I try to help for your questions.

Many people asking asking somethings about Turkey.Visa,job,places,cultures,tours.Some people think that we are a tourist guide or tourism company.Actually I'm mechanical engineer and blog is my hobby.I'm just trying to help people and improving my english while describing how Turkey is beautifull.

A friend asked that I will come to Turkey for 10 days and how I will spend time in Turkey and How ı can spend time usefull.So I will write my Turkey travel plan.I will try to write if I could be tourist where I visit and what I can do.

First Route İstanbul

İstanbul is most famous city in Turkey and it deserve it with its beauty,history,culture and location.Actually I will write an article about İstanbul tour route with more details later.Today I will write main title without much details.

İstanbul has many places for to see  but lucky that there are not much far each other.

• First Day ;Eminönü square,Blue Mosque,the Hagia Sophia and Grand Bazaar.
• Second Day ;Basillica Cistern and Topkapı Palace and Süleymaniye Mosque.
• Third Day;Dolmabahçe Mosque and Maiden Towers
• Fourth Day ;Taksim Square,İstiklal street ,Beyoglu and Galata Tower.

Cappadocia 

After visited Istanbul nest station is Cappadoai for art of nature.I said art of nature because  we will see a master which build fairy chimneys.But if you think that just for only fairy chimneys will go Cappadocia ? Of course not, will see many things too,underground cities,valleys,churchs, underground cities,rock homes.

Göreme,Uçhisar, Avanos and Ürgüp main stations at our route and we will make same activity too.

After visit Cappadocia we will go to Denizli by bus for to go Pamukkale Travertines and Hierapolis Ancient city.I know that area because I lived Denizli about 5 years for university and visit many times Pamukkale travertines.Pamukkale statiion take 1 or 1,5 days

After come to Denizli we will go pamukkale .It take  about 30 min.When come to Pamukkale will see another art of nature.And fall in love that amazing view.Every year tohusends toursits visit pamukakle travertines.Can spend time in little pools and sunbathe.Than Hierapolis ancient city is near pamukkale travertines and maybe remember Hierapolis ancient city from Ghost Rider 2.

Next station is Antalya at our route.Antalya not much far to Denizli about 3 hours by bus.We just visit culturel places so we deserve to rest and enjoy in sea.There are man blue flag beaches in Antalya region.

There are many activities to do in Antalya but ı just give 3 days for Antalya because our time finishing.

Kas Is One Of The Beautiful Resort In Turkey

Where is Kas

Kas is one of the pearl resort in Mediterranean coast.Nature show its most beautiful combine blue and green.White houses join that good combine.Kas is typical mediterranean resort but there are some plus features.History,sea,nature,sport activities,blue tours and amazing clear beaches.Firstly I will share list of places to visit in Kas.

1.Kalkan (Kalamaki)

Kalkan is a tourist town situated to the Kas district of Antalya.

Kalkan far from 25 kilometers to Kas.It was located alongside a beautiful cove.It attracts thousands of tourists every year with its facilities,hotels, guesthouses, restaurants and shopping spots.Kalkan 'ın architectural structure and urban texture are not distorted much.The yacht harbor provideall all the needs of the incoming boats.

2.Saklıkent Canyon

Saklıkent is  60 kilometers distance to Kas.Saklıkent canyon is  a natural wonder which  is reach by passing a bridge 100 meters long.

The length of the canyon is 18 km and visitorc can walk about 6 kilometers in canyon.There are fish restaurants and trout farms.

Canyon is a good place for to far away hot summer weather.

3.Patara Ancient City

Patara is 41 kilometers distance to Kas.The ancient city is spread over a wide area in the eastern side of the port.City and port located at  the entrance to the valley which has about 3 kilometers length.
The city also has an important position in the Byzantine period. Because Saint-Nicholas (Santa Claus) was from Patara.Saint Paul used Patara port for to go Rome.Patara was the bishopric center during the Early Christian Period.

4.Xanthos Ancient City

Xantos is on the Unesco world heritage list.Ancient city is situated to the Kınık small town.

to Kas.Xanthos was the capital of the Lycia.The first researches in the ancient city were made by Charles Fellows in 1838 and unfortunately they abducted  the magnificent grave monuments, the Nereids Monument, the Harpyler Monument, the Payave Sarcophagus, the Lion Grave,to the British Museum.

5.Kaputas Beach

A natural wonder Kaputas beach is 19 kilometers distance to Kas.

Golden yellow of sand color and every tone of blue increases the attractiveness of the beach. Do not need to say that the sea is clean.But there are 192 steps to descend at beach.

In recent years, Kas has become one of the most important  diving centers of the world.The diving clubs at the yacht harbor are racing each year to show thousands of local and foreign tourists the oldest wrecks of the Mediterranean.

Uzungöl is a tourist town situated to the Çaykara district of Trabzon.Uzungol far from 99 kilometers to Trabzon and 19 kilometers to Çaykara.Can see there on photo, how a amazing nature.Can see green color every season due to climate but in winter season can see white and green because snow.The stones which falling from the mountains, closed the front of Haldizen river way so Uzungol lake occured.Uzungöl is also the name of the village on the lake's coast.(Uzungol is long lake in english).

I will explain why I said ecotourism on title.There are more than 60 endemic plant species.There are so good  environment for wild animals life.A total of 59 mammals and 250 bird species have been identified in Uzungol Special Environmental Protection Area.There are grizzly bear,roe,jackal,wolf,fox, wild boar,lynx, badger,marten,

otter, mountain goat, wild goat so Uzungol has a natural site status so protecting with law.

If want to far away from stress and crowded cities, Uzungol is right address.Nature will hug you and take all stress.Feel oxygen in all of your body.So why Arabian tourists visit there much they are escaping from hot places and want to see  thousands tons of green.

Trabzon airport is nearest  to Uzungol so I offer flight.Than can come there by bus.But if want to see nature can prefer to bus there are bus from Istanbul to Trabzon but it take much time .
