Turkey's Victory Day

Turkey celebrates vistory day on 96th anniversary. Many nations have victory days but Turkey has biggest one. During World War I Great Britain,Russia,Italy,France,Greece, Armenia attacked to Ottoman Empire.When uur allied Germany surrendered, Ottoman accepted to be be defeated. But Turkish people never give up their freedom.

Greece, Great Britain, Italy and France started to occupy Anatolian lands. Our great father Ataturk , his comrade-in-arms and Turkish people resisted that occupy. Our enemies had war technology but we had brave hearts and genius  commander.

History of Victory Day

Victory Day commemorates the victory in the Battle of Dumlupınar which was the decisive battle in the Turkish War of Independence in 1922.

It also honours the founder of modern Turkey, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.

Following the defeat of the Ottoman Empire at the end of World War I, Turkey was occupied by allied forces.

This led to start of the Turkish War of Independence in 1919, with the Turkish forces led by General Mustafa Kemal.

The battle of Dumlupınar took place in Kütahya province in western Turkey. Although foreign forces didn't leave Turkish soil until the autumn of 1922, 30 August is accepted as the date of the Turkish army’s victory.

How we celebrate Vistory Day

Victory Day was first celebrated on 30 August 1923, becoming a national holiday in 1935.

Many people in Turkey celebrate Victory Day by attending military parades, which take place in many big cities throughout the country. Air forces celebrate the day with demonstration flights. The jets involved in such flights usually leave a red-and-white trail, symbolizing the Turkish flag.

Residents and shop owners decorate their windows with Turkish flags and images of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. State officials attend a ceremony at Atatürk's Mausoleum in Ankara. All promotions in the Turkish Armed Forces take place on this day, and military schools hold annual graduation ceremonies on August 30.

Ramadan is holy month for muslims and its good to understand poor people and how to learn control desires in ramadan.After finish ramadan muslims celebrate feast of ramadan.I will write about feast of ramadan rituals ,how we prepare for it,what is special for that day what we do in feast of ramadan.

How Prepare for Ramadan Feast

My mother prepare for that dat a week ago.She clean all of home and every part.Actually she always clean but ramadan feast is more special.After clean home she cook some special foods for guests.

Especially baklava and stuffed grape leaves.People but new clothes

for feast especially parents buy for kids.People buy bus ticket and reservation hotels a month ago because its hard to find them.

If do not go somewhere must buy sugars for kids and its explain why people call it sugar fest because childrens visit all home and take sugar.It can be strange to visit foreign houses but its traditions.

When I was child I did it many times and ate all of sugar in a day.

What Turkish do in Feast of Ramadan

Actually ramadan feast start on Arife which a day before feast.

Because holiday start on Arife so if people visit another city they start on travel.

• Get up early wear new clothes and go to mosque for feast pray.Day start with pray and everybody celebrate each other after pray in mosque

• When come back to home celebrate family and kiss older persons hands and take your baksheesh.Its tradition older people give money for little kids and making happy them.

• Family breakfast than visit relatives ,if they live far call them phone and celebrate them.

• Little childrens visit many houses and take sugars or Turkish delight,some olders give money too.

• Granfathers and grandmothers wait visitors and they feel so happy when someone visit them.

Muslims celebrate feast of ramadan during 3 days,after end of the feastcontinue their life with peace until festival of sacrifices.

How does Ramadan Feast affect toursits ?

Actually it can be good for foreign toursits in İstanbul because people going for hometowns for to visit relatives .There are no traffic and crowded in Istanbul.But cant say same thing for Antalya and another toutistical places because domastic toursits visit there but this year ramadan feast holiday not much because efast day is sunday and feast will finish wednesday.I think that efast will not affect foreign toursits.I am planing to visit Istanbul too and good time for to go there.

Last day our Tourism Travel Turkey team wrote about interestign turkish traditions and today we will write about weddings traditions.We will write about traditional anatolian weddings, how is process about it.What they are doing, families,couples and friends.When you travel Turkey can see some regions that type of weddings but its very rare but people still doing that traditions some places in anatolia.

• Once upon a time mothers and older persons of family choose brides even couples see each other at wedding.Mothers go to Turkish bath for to look at bride.When like a girl for her son she search girl's family.Than go to girl's home.Its as a lookout team.If they like girl and her family come back again.

• When they like girl they come again  for to want her as a bride from her family.If girl's family allow they can marry but if they do not want they cant marry.

• Boy's family give money to girl's family.ıts bride price but recently do not do that tradition.

• If they accept about marriage they talk about what they will buy for marriage.

• When they come second time for allow marriage girl make coffee and add salt groom's cup.If groom drink it, it show that he will be good husband
• Girl's make handworks and share her dowry for guests.If  she has much dwory , it show that bride is talented.

• Turkish traditional weddings start thursdays or friday and it take about 3 days.

• Traditional Turkish bride's costume was red but about 80- 90 years girls prefer white costume.

• Girl's brother or father (if she dont have brother) tie red belt while bride go our from father home.Its mean we grown up our girl and save her and her virginity.Now that duty is her husband.

• Before wedding ceremony girls make henna night and just groom can join it.When dab henna girl do not open hands before for to take money and gold from mother in law.

• When come to take bride, a little son sit on dower-chest and groom or his father give money for to take it.

• Once upon a time groom's family and guests come with camel or horse for to take bride.But these days there are cars for it.But still there are that tradition in anatolia.

• While bride go out from her afther's home she break little cruse or jug.Its mean give up her bad features at her father's home.

• Couples invite their relatives and friends and they bring money or golds for to give them.

• When finish wedding ceremony couples go for first night.After first night they had to show sheet with blood.It was important to to show brides virginity.Virginity is important for Turkish culture.

Turkey has a rich traditions.Some tradtions come from middle asia too.Today I will write about some Turkish tradtions maybe they can be interesting and strange for foreigns.We have different traditions for many situations.Our weddings, festivals, birth,ramadan..

Turkey travel team collected some interesting traditions for our followers.

• Turkish people kiss their older people hands.Its a respect ritual.  It can be interesting because foreign people kiss woman's hands.But our different and we show our respects to older persons.

• When our sons go to army( In Turkey when male 20 years old they join army, its duty for a year mostly) their family and friends created a celebration and dab henna their hairs.Its mean I grown up my son for motherland and he is my sacrifice for motherland.Motherland is holy for Turkish people.

• Before ramadan and  sacrifice eid womans clean all home and make baklava for guests.Youngers visit olders and olders give money childrens.Childrens visit every home in their neighborhood and take sweets.Parents buy new clothes for kids and everybody wear news clothes in eids.

• When couples have a baby, their family and friends visit and give presents.An older person say baby's name its ear and adhan.Baby can not go out 40 days and take bath               frequently.

• Once upon a time our older person decided our marriage and mothers  go to Turkish bath for to look at bride.Than say her son I like a girl for you and we will go to see girl at home.Than they go and if they like go second time take permission for marriage.But these days everybody find their partner.But that tradition continue some regions in anatolia.

• When go to permission for marriage bride make coffee but she add salt groom's cup.If groom drink, its mean he will be a good husband and will do everything for his wife.

• When our relatives or friends go to hadj holy lands we visit them.When they come back they take presents for relatives and friends and we visit again for to celebrate their hadj.

• When someone dead, their son or daughter call all of relatives and friends for funeral.Their neighboor bring meals their home. They do not cook in dead home just read Quran about 7 days than they make it after 40 days and 52th days.

I will continue to write about that subject especailly we have dfferent tradtions about weddings.They are interesting too.

Couples prefer to marry especailly summer seasons.They are right

because everything is easy in summers.Wedding organizations take long time and preparing is long time and wedding long time too.

Weddings take 3 days in Anatolia.Its traditional style but in cities it take short time too.Kına Gecesi is part of wedding.Can think as a 

bachelorette party.There are some rules and special ritual for Kına

Why making Henna Night

Especially in Anatolia, the tradition of  henna is practiced by almost every family.In recent years, these emotionally charged nights are also attracting interest in big cities but they creating as a small wedding in big cities.

Henna dab in ancient Islamic traditions.The Old persons say that spouses have been made for the purpose of maintaining their love for a lifetime.It is also believed that henna will protect the married couples from evil and evil eye.daped to henna the hands of both the bride and the guests, the marriage is celebrated and blessed in a sense.

What are rules in Henna Night

We can think it as a  bachelorette party so there are a  rule.

Main rule is no man.Yeah man do not join hena night.Just groom can join while dab henna but its for a just short time.

What are ritual of Henna Night.

Its a special night so there are some rituals.First ritual about dress.Brides wear red dress in Anatolia.Its a special for every regions but it must be red.Style can be different but color same.

While dabing  henna, bride do not open hands firstly,than girls call

mother-in-law and say that bride do not open harnds and mother-in-law give gold or money.Its tradition.

Bride's friends must dab henna too and they distribute henna for guests too.While distributing henna they give some nut.

Bride's friends and another guests try to cry bridge with special songs.Especailly they sing that Yüksek Yüksek tepeler,Its traditiona l song for that ritual.If bride cry with song it show that she is sad for to leave from family.

After dabing henna part going and everybody enjoy together.

After Henna night wedding ceremony continue another day.

Trump reallylike henna nights too.Last day he created a very big henna night party with 

FBI director and a few senator... :))))

Today first day of Ramadan and muslim people will fasting during a month.Ramadan is holy month so muslims want to evaluate this holy month and will pray more than normal months.Will pray for to 

forgiveness.Mosques will be more crowded.But in Istanbul and another cities toursits visit mosques too.Tourism season and Ramadan will pass together.

When can visit Mosques

Mosques is public places so can visit there freely and without pay

money.But its closed during pray.Actually it's not good time for to visit because must respect prayers.But it dont take much time.

What must wear in mosque

Can see that muslims womans use scarf mostly but especially when they come in mosquw using scarf always.So when tourists visit mosque must respect that rules.There are scarfs and skirt near mosque doors can use them before come inside.

Another rule about wears is decolette and mini skirts.Mosque is holy place so much decolette 

and mini skirt not suitable for 

mosques.But there are long skirts too if you have much mini skirts.But its not neccesary for man but sometimes they can understand wrong.But its really

good that they respect much.

They look so funny :)

Why do not come in mosque with shoes

Can see that they without shoes.In Islam main subject is to be clean for pray.So mosques always must be clean.Must be carefull about that rule.There are overshoe for tourist some mosques.

Can I take photo or video in mosque

Sure  can take photo and videos in mosques.But if someone praying it can affect their concentration.

How must be behaviours in mosque

Mosque is holy place so its not good to laugh high level, run inside,body jokes,make noise.

Tourists can visit mosques on Ramadan ?

Mosques open for everything.Muslims accept that mosques home of God so everybody can loging.But if you want to visit, must be carefull some rules.Muslims go to mosque 5 times in a day for pray.

But on Ramadan night pray (yatsı in Turkish) take long time so toursits can visit mosque after 10:00 pm during on ramadhan.

Mosques will be more crowded so it's not good time for visits.

So tourists can visit mosques until 10:00 pm on ramadan in 2017.

What Was Wrong with Obama

Hi dear friend I did not write anything long time for our blog.I had some problems and many thing changed in my life, moved another city I wrote about Bursa before maybe you remember I live in Bursa now.

Turkish President Erdogan visited Trump at The White House so all of channels telling about that visit.So I will write about Obama and Trump.

Sometimes we need to  have different view for to see something.Trump said a true things, for example poeple hate America.I agree with him.I will try to explain why people dont like USA,what will change with Trump ,what were Obama’s mistakes,what people want to see different with Trump.I will explain that things with foreign view from thousends kilometers USA.

It was as a revolution when Obama selected President of America.People thought that he look so sympathetic and charismatic.People like modest people and Obama was amiable.Especially muslim countries liked Obama and many people said Obama might be muslim.Because Bush hurted much muslim countries.Obama could be chance for good relationships.

USA had a bad appearance with Bush because people thought that Usa occupied Iraq for petrolium.They did not find nucleer weapons and millions persons dead and stil dying in Iraq so it is big reason that people do not like USA.People hoped that Obama could finish that war and blood but he was unsuccessful about Iraq .

Especially Turkey strategy was so wrong.Obama could do good things with Erdogan.Erdogan is strongest leader in middle east.Arabian countries,Turkish countries and African countries respect and like him but Obama did not want to see his power and authority.He is administrating Turkey about 15 years he saw economic crises, military  coup, economic downturns, civilian coup but still look strong.Today we can see that Turkey has good relation with Russia despite of fighter and ambassador crises.Because when military coup USA waited to result declaration and many people think that Usa knew that military coup and helped FETO terrorist organization.Turkey is one of the most important NATO alliance in middle east and Turkish people do not like USA anymore because people think that USA supporting terrorist group in Turkey and terrorrist group’s leader live in USA.

Many people claim that ISIS is a Project of USA. Edward Snowden and some american politician said it many times so main reason that why Syrian people hate USA.They lose their  life,relatives,mothers sisters,brothers,fathers and coutries.About 2 millions refugees live in Turkey.Who is  alliance of USA in Syria ? A terrorist organization, another part of PKK terrorist organization so it is another reason that why Turkish people do not like America.We must accept that Turkish army most succesfull army to battle of ISIS.It is a so big strategic mistake that do not support Turkey in Syria so America is unwanted state in peace meeting.

Finally I just said what is wrong for America in middle east because I live in there and we just want peace in that lands.Trump said that we have more important problems than Syria so we can accept that USA will stop to support wrong organizations in Syria.Another good things about Turkey strategy and I think that he has different ideas about FETO .USA is the strongest in the world so people want justice and peace from USA.When look at history can see that empires and states lived long time with justice and peace.We hope that Trump won’t make same mistakes.

Handu Sena And Her Dog Tommy

Recently there are a new at social media and tv news.That new's heroes,little Hamdu Sena, her dog Tommy,mother mother goat and baby goat.

Hamdu Sena is 11 years old and live with her family a small village near the city of Rize(a city in black sea region) ,in Turkey.She is a student but when she come back to home she help her family and going with her big brother.She and her brother protector and guide of their animals.Her family are farmer and that goats their source of income.

Last week when she came back to home she and her brother went to tableland.But winter season and snowed much last week and there are much snow everywhere.But there was a surprise a pregnant goat made that surprise.When birth started and come back to home with another goats and took their school bags.

They had baby goat and mother and baby goat was weak for to walk inside snow so smart dog tommy and Sena helped them.They look happy inside bags.

When her borther shared that photos on social media Tommy and Sena become popular in Turkey.Than tv channels made interview with Sena.She said that ''Actually we want to immortalize the moment but after 2 days I learned that becoma popular on social media.I m happy for it.''

That events show that there are still natural things in the world.

When people give their love to animals ,they never give up and save their owners always.So never forget that animals have hearts too.

Paper Marbling or Ebru Art

The art of  Marbling

Painting and sculpture arts were not much popular at the islamic countries so islamic countries did not develop in that arts.But they created new ones.Ebru is one of that arts.

What is mean of Ebru ?

Ebru is a ornamentation art.We can say that ebru is a art of writing on water.Artist used that art design of book's covers and papers in Ottoman and Seljuks ages.That art lived between master-apprentice relations until these days.Ebru word's mean come from Persian languagae.Orgin was Ebri in Persian language and its mean cloudy.

Ebru artists must be so carefull because when do mistake it imposible to fix.Even if artist could be so carefull maybe can not be succesfull.Because it's about tools too.So it s a so special art, many country  own that art.

Materials of Ebru

1. Paper ,paper must be special it must have absorbent features.
2. Gum (Kitre) it is essence of a weed thorn.Artister mix gum and water than get mixture 
3. Ebru tub, its for to fill ebru special water
4. Brush, for to give figure
5. Colors,Oxide red, oxide yellow, oxide black, preferd much
6. Bile,for to keep together colors

How to Make Ebru

Firtly fill into tub with mixture (gum and water) than clean mixture with filter.Than colors crush until get little particles and add bile.Than that bile and color mixture will wait 15 days.After resting time add water into mixture and colors ready for use.

A marble can done one time so muct be carefull.Fill in colors with brush in to tub than make figures.Than cover up paper on tub.Ottoman people liked tulips much so they used tulip figures much.There are a tulip age in Ottoman Empire history.

Especially Ebru artister used flowers figures and Arabian language.
